'Too high': Controversy over plans for flats in Kelvinbridge Glasgow
Plans to build 49 flats in the West End overlooking Kelvingrove Park face objections over the height of the blocks and blockage of light from existing homes.
local review committee next week to allow councillors to decide whether the application from Queensberry Properties Ltd should go ahead. An appeal statement from Iceni Projects lodged on behalf of Queensberry Properties said: “The proposed development has evolved to reduce daylight impacts to existing properties, with a number of design changes being agreed with the council.”
It added “they rise above the ridge line of 65-77 Otago Street and have an impact on views out of the Conservation Area as well as inwards.”
