Halls auctioneers overcame the gale force wind and heavy rain of Storm Darragh and power outages to hold a successful farm dispersal sale in South Shropshire on December 7.
The sale at Sallins Farm, Picklescott, near Church Stretton, which included farm machinery, implements, diggers, tractors, fodder, workshop tools, building materials and household Items, was organised by Halls on behalf of Mr and Mrs Derek Lewis and family and Mulberry Homes UK Ltd.
“It was a day to remember as the vendors, auctioneers and lots of buyers braved Storm Darragh to show their incredible support for the sale,” said James Evans, a director of Halls. “A massive thank you to everyone who made this day such a success despite the challenging conditions.”Top prices were £65,000 for a 2022 JCB 536-95 Agri Loadall, £30,000 each for a 2017 John Deere 6135R tractor and a 2004 John Deere 7920 tractor and £19,500 for a 2021 20 ton Broughton trailer with silage sides.
Other leading prices were £15,700 for a 2017 Kuhn Vari Master 153 five furrow plough, £15,000 for a 2013 Bunning Lowlander MK4 150 rear discharge muck spreader, £12,500 for a 2020 JPM 32ft low loader trailer, £12,400 for a 2016 Korte 700 Crimper Mill and £11,200 for a Pearson trailed cattle squeeze crush and race system.
