Security Minister Tom Tugendhat claimed Labour would not match the Conservatives' pledges on defence - although Keir Starmer has insisted he is committed to keeping the UK safeThe Conservatives have doubled down on their claim that Britain would be less safe under Labour as they continue to push an aggressive general election message in aincluding enshrining their rights in legislation, allowing them to use their ID card as proof of identity while voting and cutting the price of their rail...
When the Prime Minister made similar claims during Tuesday night’s ITV debate, Sir Keir described them as “shocking”. He has previously said: “National security will always come first in the changed Labour party I lead. Keeping our country safe is the bedrock of stability that the British people rightly expect from their government.”
Party leaders will mark the 80th anniversary of D-day on Thursday, including attending commemorative events in France.
