A Tory minister has said that a potential Scottish drugs consumption room "is not working that well" despite the pilot not yet having started.
It comes after Scotland's Lord Advocate Dorothy Bain agreed to green light Safer Drug Consumption Facilities on Monday. "The 50-year-old piece of legislation which controls the shape of Scotland's criminal justice system to punish drug addiction with the full force of the law, rather than treat users as addicts with health conditions in health settings.
"In terms of how the rest of the UK will respond to it, that is something for the inter-ministerial group, which can meet and is meeting this afternoon."
