The popular coastal town usually receives rave reviews, but not everyone has enjoyed their visit
With the summer holidays in full swing many of us will be packing up the car and heading on a staycation. One of the most popular places in the UK to visit is Devon, which features beautiful coastal towns and pretty countryside.
One visitor wrote: “Not impressed! Well what can I say! Nowhere to park so we went to the park and ride to find you could park but no buses were running from there. Bus stop was 300 metres away but there were no buses for an hour. “We had read that parking was difficult in the area, so we decided to use the park and ride.....which was also CLOSED!!!!
A third called their trip “chaotic, stressful, disappointing and saddening”. They said: “I have been going to Salcombe for 18 years and seen a dramatic change in the last 5 years at least and not a good one. This year was my last!
