TOWIE newcomer Junaid Ahmed has shared an update on his close friend Yazmin Oukhellou after the horror car crash in Turkey that killed boyfriend Jake McLean.
Speaking exclusively to OK!, he said: “She’s in the best place that she can be. I’m so, so excited for the new series. There’s loads of typical TOWIE stuff that you need to keep your eyes out for. I’m ruffling a few feathers.” He will be making his debut alongside Jordan Brook, who first appeared on the show in 2017 but was axed in 2018 before being welcomed back. Bosses brought him into the fold as he has close friendships with Yaz, Dani Imbert, and Ella Rae Wise.They said: "Yaz was meant to be coming back to the show. The cast are sending their support and they will be around her when she’s home. They just want her home. You never expect something like this to happen.
An official told reporters that Jake is estimated to have been driving at “well over” the 40mph speed limit. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene, while Yazmin was taken to hospital. Doctors reportedly told her she was “very lucky” to have survived.
