EXCLUSIVE: While Mark Wright hits back at some recent backlash, Lauren Goodger is looking forward to rejoining TOWIE and wants to prove she's no longer in Mark's 'shadow'
of TOWIE’s original cast members.
Mark, who’s married to Fool Me Once star Michelle Keegan, was left upset by reports that his recent pop-up for his fitness brand Aytee7 was a flop. “However, I won’t be quiet when something could be detrimental to a business that we have worked so hard on for a number of years to get it to this point. Especially when the story couldn’t be further from the truth.
A source told us, “Returning to her TV roots is something she has always wanted to do. She loves working and being in the limelight. This is a dream come true for her.” They added, “Lauren has had such a tough time and it’s her moment now. She is excited about TOWIE and it’s not about him this time, it’s about her. She wants to move on and have a fresh start with the show.”
In the years since leaving TOWIE, Lauren has welcomed two daughters with ex-boyfriend Charles Drury, one of whom, Lorena, tragically passed away at just two days old. That same month, Lauren was also hit with the heartbreaking news that her ex-boyfriend Jake McLean had been killed in a horrific car crash while on holiday in Turkey.
