The 2nd day of the Arctic Encounter Symposium, providing insight and solutions for waste management in Pan-Arctic communities.

The Mobile Weather Lab was on the road, stopping at College Gate Elementary School’s annual STEM night. From improving the safety of air travel, to making energy out of potatoes, and finding out which cereal gets the soggiest the fastest the sixth graders at College Gate are using science to help tackle some tough problems. Chief Meteorologist Melissa Frey joined their science fair where the students presented their research and learned from other STEM professionals in the community.
