The man accused of killing a young woman on a beach in Far North Queensland is expected to be charged with murder shortly, after touching down in Cairns on a charter flight.He will be taken to the Cairns watch house, where he is expected to be charged with murderPolice will allege Rajwinder Singh killed Toyah Cordingley on Wangetti Beach in October 2018 and boarded a flight to India within days.Her body was discovered by her father, who went searching for her after she failed to return home.

He arrived in Cairns at 12:43pm Thursday from India via Victoria, where he appeared briefly in the Melbourne Magistrates Court yesterday for an extradition hearing.Prosecutors told the court police have DNA evidence linking Mr Singh to Ms Cordingley's murder.The 38-year-old is expected be charged with Ms Cordingley's murder and could front the Cairns Magistrates Court later today or tomorrow morning.

"We have been determined to find answers for Toyah's family and the work of all involved has been meticulous since that terrible day in October, 2018. "It's been a long four years and I want to acknowledge the work of the Queensland Police Service," Mr Healy said.
