Tributes have been paid to a missing woman after police found her abandoned car on a road near woodland in Cheshire yesterday .
Thea Newton, originally from Clitheroe, was last seen in the early hours of Friday morning at her home in Warrington. The vehicle was found parked close to Sunflower Drive. A major search operation involving officers, search and rescue teams and a drone, then began trying to track her down, focusing on Warrington, its surrounds, and the Trans Pennine Trail.Cheshire Police has now confirmed they have found a body in their search, which is believed to be Thea. , reports the Liverpool Echo.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Search teams looking for missing woman Thea Newton, 29, in Warrington have sadly found a body. It is believed to be Thea and her next of kin have been informed. There are no suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared for the coroner."READ NEXT:
