A student from Peterborough got a brief taste of life as a Traitor following Minah's elimination earlier in the week, but it was a fleeting experience. In cringe-inducing scenes, viewers watched as he became entangled in a lie about the highly coveted immunity-granting shields, and it ultimately proved to be his downfall.
Viewers expressed their sympathy for him, with one writing on X: 'Poor Freddie, he had the job for 24 hours - leave the poor boy alone.' Despite the initial disappointment of his elimination, Freddie was thrilled with his Traitors experience. He shared, 'I think this is one thing that I'll look back on when I'm older, and it will be one of the most amazing, proud achievements of my life. Considering how many people applied for this, and I was lucky enough to be chosen, that's amazing in itself. I’ve built some incredible friendships.' He continued, 'It was good to meet all these people that I would never ever cross paths with, and now they're friends for life.'Freddie initially aspired to be a Traitor but quickly changed his mind when the reality of the situation sunk in, and the contestants were blindfolded at the Round Table. When Charlotte recruited him, he realized he had little choice but to comply or risk being eliminated. He commented, 'The thing that was most annoying is that it was the day before the final and I had to completely switch up. So then the fact that it was me was frustrating!' Looking back on his highlights, he added, 'I did really enjoy when we got Minah out as a Traitor, because I think I really convinced a lot of people to get her out. When we did, I think my chair flipped. I was so excited!' He also fondly recalled, 'Also, the Mission that me and Alexander carried the statues, and we were leading the charge. Two short kings and we showed them how it's done!'The Traitors is a reality game show that features 22 contestants, some of whom are secretly chosen to be The Traitors. The contestants compete for a substantial cash prize while navigating a series of challenges. They are also tasked with identifying the Traitors within their group (typically three contestants).
