Clouds increase later today ahead of an approaching storm system
) - After a chilly start, temperatures will warm to the low to mid 70s this afternoon under partly sunny skies. that will bring thunderstorms to the forecast area on Tuesday morning.After a cool start in the 40s, the sunshine this morning will help us warm to the splendid 70s across much of the area. We will have a few more clouds by this afternoon, with mainly cloudy skies by this evening. If you have evening plans, temperatures will be in the 60s around sunset.
☀️ The sun is shining across the area this morning, but clouds will move in soon. We are watching a batch of mid and upper-level clouds located to our west this morning. These will move in over the course of the afternoon and evening.Overnight tonight, the wind will begin to pick up out of the southeast. This along with the cloud cover will keep things mild overnight. Temperatures will fall to near 60 degrees.
The National Weather Service has issued a WIND ADVISORY for Monday into early Tuesday. Sustained winds around 20-25 mph are likely with gusts to over 40 mph possible 🌬️A wind advisory has been issued for Monday and early Tuesday. Gusty winds outside of thunderstorms will be over 40 mph at times. These conditions will create hazards at the beaches, making swimming inadvisable on both Monday and Tuesday.
