Man Utd and Atletico remain way off an agreement over a deal for Joao Felix, while Liverpool are linked with a France international who doesn’t play in midfield…if they really want Joao Felix to solve their striker shortage… The Red Devils are desperate to sign a new forward – well, Erik ten Hag is – but during the mid-season window, the board sees little value in the market. So United are damned to seeking a short-term solution to a rather longer-term problem.
Felix was on their radar during the summer but that was when Diego Simeone still fancied the Portugal star. Since then, the 23-year-old has struggled to get into the Atletico Madrid side and the Spanish club are now open to offers, both permanent and temporary. But they are not so keen to be rid of Felix that they would consider United’s current offer. According to, the Red Devils are prepared to give Atletico £3.5million to borrow Felix for the rest of the season. But Atletico want at least £10.5million if they are to lend out their record signing.
