Manchester United have joined the queue of clubs keen to sign Matheus Nunes, while Liverpool are hearing all the right noises from Ryan Gravenberch’s camp…is well established. The Reds were tempted to buy the Portugal international from Sporting Lisbon last year but opted not to sign any midfielders whatsoever. Which has not gone well. Nunes won’t come cheap for either United or Liverpool – or Barcelona, who are also said to be interested in the 24-year-old. Wolves paid a club-record £38million and are expecting at least £50million if they are to flip the versatile midfielder.Liverpool may decide to leave Nunes to United if they can get their hands on Ryan Gravenberch.
The 20-year-old seems keen to move on, especially if Liverpool are willing to pay him £200,000 a week. That is unlikely to deter Newcastle from spending big after a change in mindset at St James’ Park.
