Translink have introduced increased safety measures for pedestrians at a roadworks site off Great Victoria Street after complaints were raised that they were an "accident waiting to happen".
One local city centre worker told us he fears for the safety of city centre workers and tourists at the busy junction. "To facilitate these works, the contractor FSJV has put in place a footpath and cycle lane closure on Glengall Street and Great Victoria Street. "We will continue to monitor the situation and work with the local stakeholders and government agencies as this work progresses."
