Nonetheless, Peña noted that the Philippines’s competitive advantage is in infrastructure and its government’s openness to holding dialogues with international partners.“The question is to be sure of rules and not to change the rules. So this is the second recommendation,” Peña said at last Tuesday’s event.
These companies focus on the following areas: transportation and infrastructure; water; clean energy; agro industry; and, tourism. However, like any other country, she said that Spain is also embarking on digitalization. She cited the areas concerned include how to improve the value chain of the agriculture sector “and how it can work both on technology and digitalization and all the sectors related to agritech, foodtech, food security and so on.”
