Daryl Rembert hopes to inspire others with his own recovery journey.
TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas — KVUE first introduced our audience to Narcan advocateNow, he hopes the recognition spreads the word of his mission so he can reach more people and save more lives. "There was a time that I was part of the problem with this community," he said.
"I think it's really important to be proactive and, you know, to do something and to give back to the community," he said. "She's 91 years old, and we just had an awesome conversation," Rembert said. He hopes sharing his story will make a difference for others. Travis County Commissioner Court judge Andy Brown agrees with Rembert and wants to present his work at the State of the County Address.
Overdose deaths are the number one cause in accidental deaths for the county, and Judge Brown said Rembert's work is making a difference.
