The American rapper has avoided criminal charges after 10 fans were killed in a 'massive crowd surge' at his Astroworld Festival in 2021.

Attorney Kent Schaffer on Thursday confirmed the grand jury in a criminal investigation case has decided not to indict the 32-year-old.

The grand jury ruled Travis Scott will not be indicted over the deaths at his Astroworld concert. Picture: Rick Kern/Getty Images Scott faced criticism for failing to stop the concert but his lawyer maintained the rapper was unaware of the tragedy unfolding in the audience. “His range of visibility is limited to the first four, five, or six rows of the stage... when you’re up on a lit stage like that and the crowd is dark you can’t see what’s going on.”

In the days after the incident, the Stargazing hitmaker reached out to the families of the victims through his lawyer and offered to pay for funeral expenses.
