Treasure Hunt first aired on Channel 4 in 1982
Television presenter Anneka Rice is keen to revive one of her most successful programmes. In 1982, Channel 4 launched the hugely popular game show Treasure Hunt which would go on to air for almost a decade. Treasure Hunt saw two contestants race against the clock to solve a series of clues and communicate instructions via a radio link to 'sky-runner' Anneka.
Yesterday, September 14, a fan tweeted Anneka to remind her of the programme's success. X user Steven Clark said: ' Did you know @AnnekaRice. It needs to come back you need to get your jumpsuits back out.' Anneka responded to the message confirming she'd be more than happy to get back into the air. She said: 'I’ve been waiting for this moment for 40 years. Let’s do it!' The comment received a wave of positive feedback as fans demanded 'Do it.
