David Hole, a treasure hunter, stumbled upon a dense rock that he initially mistook for gold. After years of testing, experts confirmed it as an H5 ordinary chondrite meteorite, one of seventeen found in Victoria. It is rich in elements like iron, nickel, and magnesium, offering a glimpse into the early solar system.
A TREASURE hunter was on cloud nine when he realised the grubby piece of rock he thought was gold turned out to be far more valuable.
