A dedicated Tartan Army foot soldier has been remembered as a 'gent who always had a story' after he passed away suddenly on his return from a trip to Norway to watch the national team play last week.
Michael, also known as Patsy, followed Scotland's national team for over 40 years, enjoying countless trips to countries across the world, making lots of pals along the way. After the news of his death broke, the Tartan Army lined up to pay their respects, many having just seen Patsy partying days ago in Oslo.
One commented: "On one trip he didn't have a clue where he was, so some of us eventually figured out what hotel he was in and got him back there, only for him to reappear back at the pub about an hour later!"
