It's understood that Dean Dobbin from Downpatrick, who was a young dad aged 33, may have suffered a head injury from a blow or fall during a stay in the popular holiday hotspot of Gran Canaria.
Mr Dobbin is survived by his young son, Aodhan, parents David and Annemarie, brothers Mark and David and wider family circle. "Thinking of the whole family circle and friends at this horrible time. RIP big man. You’ll be missed," said a third.SDLP South Down MLA Colin McGrath has offered his condolences to the family and friends of the young man.
“I understand that an investigation is underway into the circumstances of the man’s death and the family must be kept updated at this difficult time and receive the necessary help and support.
