"My heart is broken for yous, was a gentleman and will be missed dearly," said one person, while another added: "He loved you and the kids. I am lost for words I'll be with u much as I can."
DUP North Down MLA Peter Martin expressed his shock at the tragedy as he urged members of the public to assist the PSNI in their investigation into the fatal collision if possible.
