Gerry was a member of Sydney Street WMC and other social clubs in Accrington and was well known for enjoying a pint or two with friends and family.Gerry was an avid supporter of Accrington Stanley and was a regular attender at matches up to his illness.Donations in memory can be made to The Firefighters Charity.All further enquiries to Hyndburn Funeral Services, Queens Road, Accrington.

A service will be held on Friday, December 27, at Accrington Crematorium at 3pm,family flowers only, donations to the Royal British Legion/Cancer Research.Ruth Stephenson Ruth passed away suddenly at her home on December 12, aged 87 years of Clayton-le-Moors. She took great pride in her home and everything had its place, it was spotlessly clean and she could often be found in the kitchen creating one of her tasty baked treats, chocolate cake and buns were a firm family favourite and her homemade sausage rolls held legendary status within the family.

Ruth’s life was a life devoted to others, she was loved beyond measure and will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.Ruth’s funeral service will be held at Accrington Crematorium on Monday, December 23 at 11.40am.
