Emergency services were called to the busy M74 motorway at around 3.10am on Saturday, August 3, following reports of an incident involving a pedestrian and lorry.
Tributes have been paid to a much-loved Lanarkshire teen who died following a collision with a HGV on the M74.
It is believed that the Blantyre teen had been walking southbound near junction six to Hamilton at the time of the incident. Tributes have since flooded in for the 'kind and caring' teen following the tragic incident. Terminal One Youth Centre wrote: "Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Christopher Keenan. Christopher attended Terminal One groups for many years and was always a kind, caring and lovely boy to everyone.Christopher's family previously shared a statement through Police Scotland, paying tribute to the teen who will be "missed by everyone".
