The teen died in hospital following the tragic incident as he travelled to work.
A Scots teen who died after a tree fell on a car during Storm Eowyn has been named locally. Calum Carmichael's blue Ford Focus was struck by a tree on the B743 Ayr Road near Mauchline at 6.45am on Friday, January 24 while he was on his way to work.
Sister-in-law Yaz Hodge led tributes to the beloved teenager, saying: "No words can ever describe how our family feel. These past two days have been the worst moments of our lives. "Calum, we love you so much and we promise to take care of each other and try to stay strong for you. I will forever be grateful for the 14 years I had with you and will treasure all our amazing memories together.
A devastated Emilie Carmichael said: "Words can’t even describe how heartbroken I am. I have lost my true best friend. Calum you truly were one in a million couldn’t have asked for a better brother or a better bestfriend. Don’t know what I’m going to do without you! You were just a big jokester and hope everyone remembers that. Love you forever and a day buddy."
