Paul was a highly regarded cricket player and beloved father-of-two
Tributes have been paid to a dad who died after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest. Paul Marshall collapsed while out for a walk in Gee Cross , Hyde in December.
However, before becoming a taxi driver, Paul enjoyed a successful cricket career which saw him play for and captain a number of clubs such as Hyde, Mottram, Dukinfield, Flowery Field and Ashton Cricket Club. Paul's position was an opening batsman where he played a key role in the early success of Hyde Cricket Club during their time in the Central Lancashire Cricket League.
"When we posted about his death online, we got lots of comments from so many people saying he would stop and have a chat with them. The last few days have been tough but it's been nice to read something like that."
