Messages have been left outside the family shop in Helmshore following the tragic events of Friday night
Tributes are continuing to pour in for solicitor Jake Neary who died after being hit by a car in an alleyway.
Since the fatal incident, tributes have poured in for 31-year-old Jake, who worked as a solicitor in Lancashire and was well known on the local cricket scene. The former Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School student was described as a "beautiful soul and a true gentleman". Dozens of cards and flowers have also been left outside the family shop in Helmshore in the wake of the tragic news.Jake worked for Preston law firm Harrison Drury and specialised in commercial property.
Edenfield Cricket Club also posted a tribute to Jake in a post on X. Sharing an image of Jake within the cricket team, the club posted: "The Edenfield family are devastated to hear of the passing of former player Jake Neary. Everyone who knew Jake absolutely loved him, he was genuinely funny and always had the room in stitches. One of the best. Thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
