Barbara Faina would cheerfully sing ABBA to her grandchildren around the home
Tributes have been made to a devoted mother who worked at a school for more than a decade and was like ‘a second mum’ to her grandchildren.
She was moved from London to the countryside with her brother, Eric and eventually her mother came back for them. She moved to Accrington after her dad was transferred to work at a textile machine manufacturers, Howard and Bullough, which was one of Accrington’s biggest employers. Barbara fell in love with singing when she was a part of the church choir in her youth. She would cheerfully sing ABBA to her grandchildren around the home.
