The Glasgow SNP group paid an emotional tribute to Cllr Kenny McLean following his death after an illness. He was remembered as a 'tireless campaigner for Scotland and social justice'.
Cllr Kenny McLean was elected in 2007 to the Partick ward and represented Kelvindale and Partick East as a member of the SNP. The party confirmed his death following an illness on Wednesday evening .
A statement from the party read: "We are devastated to share the news that our dear friend and colleague Cllr Kenny McLean has died after an illness which he bore with his usual cheerfulness. Kenny was an SNP councillor since 2007 and a tireless campaigner for Scotland and social justice.
