To mark the fiftieth anniversary of the Triumph TR7, dozens of members from the TR Drivers Club gathered at the former Speke factory site in Liverpool. The event included a 'Bullet' run to Solihull and Canley factories where the cars were produced.
September 1974 saw the first production of the Triumph TR7 at the Speke factory in Liverpool and to mark the fiftieth anniversary dozens of members from the TR Drivers Club gathered at the factory site.
The car was characterised by its"wedge" shape and during development the TR7 was referred to by the code name"Bullet". In homage to 50 years of the Triumph TR7, a car meet was held on Sunday, September 1. People, including former workers and also TR Triumph Sports car enthusiasts. The car meet set off from theat 10.30am and drove to the Solihull factory where the cars were produced in 1980 and 1981, as part of the 'Bullet' run.
