A number of Glasgow residents have hit out after being woken up by an early morning TRNSMT festival soundcheck on Saturday.

A woman tweeted the Geordie singer saying: "Cheers @SamFender for waking me up at 8.15am on this great Saturday morning. #F***soundcheck#imoanthenightshift #TRNSMT2023." However not everyone was annoyed with the early wake-up call as Debbie-Jo tweeted: "Woke up this morning to Sam Fender doing his sound check. Absolutely buzzzing for later!! #TRNSMT."

TRNSMT Festival returned to Glasgow Green for the sixth time yesterday, boasting a lineup full of the most important and iconic names in music. The Scottish post-punk indie outfit, fronted by Anna Shields, kicked off ten hours of wall to wall acts including top acts The View, Pulp, George Ezra, Paul Heaton, Cat Burns and Niall Horan.
