Several Houston area campuses are announcing closures out of concern for the landfall of Beryl which is forecasted to make landfall in Texas as a Category 1 hurricane.

The 21st Century Summer Program and all other summer student activities are canceled for Monday, July 8. Wharton County Junior College will be closed on Monday, July 8, 2024. All classes and activities are canceled for July 8.The San Jacinto College Administration and Office of Emergency Management continue to monitor the National Hurricane Center and National Weather Service forecasts regarding Tropical Storm Beryl.
