Lancashire is set for heavy rain before a sizzling weekend, thanks to a 'tropical storm' heating things up
Temperatures are expected to hit 21C on Friday and Saturday, but by Sunday, they could soar to 25C due to Tropical Storm Debby's influence from North America. Lots of sunshine is expected with 'high' UV levels predicted on both days this weekend.Met Office Chief Meteorologist Dan Suri explained: "Tropical Storm Debby in North America is helping to strengthen the jet stream, and is causing it to meander over the Atlantic.
"As well as the hot daytime temperatures, a very warm night is also expected on Sunday night into Monday."
