As of the latest advisory, we now have Tropical Storm Debby in the Gulf of Mexico.
The STORMtracker team is busy tracking both the intense heat and Tropical Storm Debby located near Cuba. We are not expecting any direct impacts from the tropical system here on our stretch of the Gulf Coast, but we will see a drop in rain chances as the storm passes to our east. This will lead to a bump in temperatures next week, with highs around or over 100 degrees very likely by Tuesday. The forecast this weekend continues the trend of hot days with scattered storms.
This storm is expected to move slowly across Florida and coastal areas of the Southeast this weekend and into next week, causing heavy rainfall and flooding.
