Please read our Please read ourThe Premier League team of the week that have most impressed him.On this occasion I obviously wasn’t expecting to count how many Newcastle United players…As it happens, Troy Deeney picked out only two of the away side from Newcastle 1 Bournemouth 4.“I struggle to see how Bournemouth are going to be able to keep hold of him. He is scoring goals for fun and has an unbelievable engine on him. He defends well, gets forward excellently. A really, really good player.
I think to only pick two Bournemouth players was laughable from Troy Deeney but then as usual, his disrespect is all too obvious. He does it with Newcastle United players all the time, especially Alexander Isak.
However, that disrespect is nothing compared to what I find really really outrageous from this past weekend of matches and what Troy Deeney has had to say. This is who the BBC Sport pundit has picked out as the best performing Premier League manager of the weekend“The Wolves game was massive for Maresca. It was getting towards squeaky bum time for him – there has been a lot of pressure building in recent weeks. He called Chalobah back from Crystal Palace and started him, which was a big call, and it paid off. They had to win and they got the job done.
However, it is beyond belief that Maresca is chosen ahead of Andoni Iraola, I am so outraged on behalf of him and the Bournemouth fans. Newcastle United were fourth top and had won nine matches in a row and Bournemouth come to St James’ Park, win 4-1 and make it 11 matches unbeaten, yet their manager doesn’t get recognised for that.
