After a historic run to the WNIT semifinals, the Troy Trojans women’s basketball team looks to reload with transfer signees.
The Trojans are bidding farewell to seniors Nia Daniel, Makayia Hallmon, Ja’Mia Hollings, and Tai’Sheka Porchia from the 2023-24 season, during which Troy won its first-ever postseason game. Troy head coach Chanda Rigby had already secured commitments from two transfers: Adriana Jones and Fortuna Ngnawo. Both were named Players of the Year in their respective Junior College conferences.
On Thursday, Troy announced the addition of six more transfers for the 2024-25 season. These players arrive from a variety of levels, ranging from community college to even within the Sun Belt conference. One player hails from Montgomery: Jamirica Roberson, who previously attended J.A.G. School before spending two years at Bishop State Community College. The 6-foot-2 forward was named to the Region 22 All-South Second Team in 2023 and the Alabama Community College Conference First Team in 2024.
