Pierce County Sheriff Ed Troyer said he’s not running for re-election, and the candidate vying to replace him has been targeted with what he calls a "suspicious" no-confidence vote about her leadership style.
Guild President Bryan Buckingham told KOMO News that the concerns center around training that has been “non-existent,” and his guild has attempted to address it for years. He said annual training hours have been cut back on her watch and increased the risk of bodily injury to inmates and guards. Buckingham said over the phone that the vote tally was never intended to be made public.
