A tractor-trailer crashed into a Wendy's on Eisenhower Boulevard in Lower Swatara Township on Friday, July 12, 2024. Lower Swatara Township police said the tractor-trailer driver told officers he could not see when he went off Route 283 west around 2:45 a.m. and straight into the Wendy’s on the 800 block of Eisenhower Boulevard.
The truck driver was on his way from Lancaster to Washington State. He suffered unspecified facial injuries in the crash and was taken to Penn State Hershey Medical Center, police said.A tow company is in the process of removing the tractor-trailer as of 7:15 a.m. Friday. Police said the crash is still under investigation.and ended up fully inside the dining room, Lower Swatara police told PennLive at the time. Police said the only person injured was the driver.
