'Truly beautiful' mum and retired nurse killed after being hit by double-decker bus
The family and friends of a retired nurse who died after being hit by a double-decker bus have described her as a much-loved mum who adored walking her beloved dog Milo.
She has now been named as 81-year-old Carol Fisher from Fulwood. The retired auxiliary nurse, who worked at Fulwood Hall Hospital, was well-known in the community.In a tribute her family said: “Carol Fisher was a much-loved Mum, Nan, Sister and a great friend to many. Carol was a retired auxiliary nurse at Fulwood Hall Hospital. She attended Fulwood Free Methodist Church and enjoyed helping out at a children's ministry and volunteering at a local charity shop in Fulwood.
“The news of Carol's tragic death has been devasting and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.”
