Images from the scene appeared to show blood on Trump's face, though it is unclear whose blood it is.The White House said President Biden had received an initial briefing on the incident. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said in a statement his “thoughts and prayers are with former President Trump.”
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer echoed that sentiment, saying “political violence has no place in our country.”
