Labor rights advocates and progressive economists slammed the Trump administration after the Department of Labor announced Tuesday a final rule on overtime pay to replace a bolder Obama-era proposal blocked by a federal court in Texas. 'President Trump is literally taking money from the pockets of workers to please corporate interests.
'This is a disaster for those 8 million workers, and further undermines worker power and protections, which ultimately hurts everyone,' tweeted Roosevelt Institute fellow Michael Linden.
