Donald Trump's lead Atlanta attorney Steve Sadow files request for oral arguments in Fani Willis disqualification appeal.
Amid efforts to disqualify Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis through an appeal in Donald Trump's Georgia election interference case, the former president's lawyers confirmed a request for oral arguments on Monday. An appeals court in Georgia last Wednesday indefinitely paused the case against Trump, pending a ruling on defendants' efforts to disqualify Willis from the investigation.
'President Trump has filed his request for oral argument in the Georgia Court of Appeals, currently calendared for October. We believe oral argument will assist the Court by highlighting and clarifying the reasons why the case should be dismissed and Fulton County DA Willis should be disqualified for her misconduct,' Sadow said.Newsweek reached out to Trump's spokesperson and the Fulton County Court via email for comment.
