Mr. Biden’s shaky debate performance sparked fear and panic among Democrats about whether he needs to be replaced. Since then, a growing number of calls have been made for him to step aside and let someone else be on the party’s ticket. On Tuesday, Mr. Trump called on Mr. Biden to participate in another debate this week so “’Sleepy’ Joe Biden can prove to everyone all over the world that he has what it takes to be president.”
