A motive is still not known.. Sources said it was a semiautomatic rifle and law enforcement is investigating if the gun was purchased by the shooter’s father.
The preliminary count is that eight shots fired by the gunman, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, but that could change as the FBI, ATF and other agencies comb over the rally site and rooftop, according to the official.
