'Why don't we drop a bomb inside the eye of the hurricane?'

DONALD Trump has repeatedly suggested dropping nuclear bombs into hurricanes to stop them from hitting the US, reports claim.

Trump raised the same issue on another occasion with a senior administration official in 2017, according to the report. Trump’s idea is not a new one as the suggestion was first made by a government scientist in the 1950s, under President Dwight Eisenhower.The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has a page dedicated to the concept.
