Donald Trump is reportedly set to unveil a 100-day plan to end the war in Ukraine next week at the Munich Security Conference. The plan includes a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin and a meeting with both Putin and Ukrainian President Zelensky. It also involves a ceasefire for Easter and an International Peace Conference. However, Zelensky's office has dismissed the reports as misinformation.

Donald Trump could unveil a proposed 100-day plan to end the Ukraine war next week at the Munich Security Conference . According to reports, the plan includes a phone call between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in early February, followed by a meeting with both Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky later in February or March.

A ceasefire is reportedly targeted for Easter, April 20th, with soldiers on both sides laying down arms and Ukrainian troops withdrawing from Russia's Kursk region. An International Peace Conference, mediated by other prominent nations, would then convene to help forge an international agreement to end the war.The agreed-upon parameters for ending the conflict, potentially published by May 9th, include banning Ukraine from joining NATO and the EU by 2030, preventing the EU from assisting in Ukraine's postwar reconstruction, and requiring Ukraine to maintain its army size while continuing to receive US military support. Additionally, Ukraine would reportedly be forced to 'refuse military and diplomatic attempts to return the occupied territories' and 'officially recognize the sovereignty of the Russian Federation over them.' Kyiv would also be requested not to extend martial law or mobilize troops. Crippling sanctions on Russia could be gradually weakened over several years, with funds from special duties channeled into helping rebuild Ukraine. However, President Zelensky's office has dismissed the reports as misinformation. President Trump has repeatedly vowed to end the war in Ukraine but has not provided specific details about how he plans to achieve this. Following his inauguration, Trump stated on his Truth Social platform: “I’m going to do Russia, whose economy is failing, and president Putin, a very big FAVOUR. Settle now, and STOP this ridiculous War! IT’S ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE. If we don’t make a ‘deal,’ and soon, I have no other choice but to put high levels of taxes, tariffs, and sanctions on anything being sold by Russia to the United States, and various other participating countries.” Trump initially pledged to end the war within 24 hours of taking office, but Keith Kellogg, Trump's special representative for Ukraine, is reportedly seeking 100 days to formulate a solution.Former Chancellor Jeremy Hunt suggested that a potential peace agreement could resemble the situation between North Korea and South Korea, with a demilitarized zone separating the two countries. In Ukraine, this could involve maintaining a 'fairly similar' situation to the current de facto boundaries, with Russia retaining control of the 20% of Ukraine it currently occupies. However, Hunt argues that 'Ukraine's security will have to be guaranteed' through foreign allies, including Britain. He stated: 'There is no way that Trump is going to send American troops to do that. I would suggest, in which case, the way to make that security guarantee for Ukraine credible will be for Britain, France, Germany and other European countries to send troops to secure that border. 'Is that something that we would be prepared to do? I think after a lot of thought, I would be prepared to do that.'Meanwhile, President Zelensky emphasized that any peacekeeping force deployed to defend Ukraine's borders must include US troops. Speaking to Sky News, he said: “When we talk about this, is Europe enough? No. Because this isn't just a matter of numbers. It's about sharing responsibility and ensuring security guarantees.” He added: 'This cannot be pursued without the involvement of the United States. Doing so would be a major mistake. It could very well be Russia's desire to see Europe defending and supporting Ukraine without the US.“That would give Russia an advantage, and I believe it could amount to a geopolitical and strategic win for them.
