TRUST in the Government has soared to record levels during the coronavirus crisis, a survey of public opinion showed yesterday.
Six out of ten Britons questioned in the research said they trusted the Government, according to the Edelman Trust Barometer. The figure was up from 36 percent in January and the highest level recorded in the 20-year history of the regular poll carried out for the communications firm. Public opinion in 11 countries including the UK, Germany, France, South Korea and the UK was measured in a special edition of the survey focused on the responses of public institutions to the global pandemic.
