The Chaser's Darragh Ennis praised how one Liverpool pub makes its Guinness earlier this week
How to pour the perfect Guinness has become quite the topic of debate in recent years. Entire social media accounts are now dedicated to showcasing sub-par pours of the drink.
Therefore, I wasn’t surprised when I saw a clip of The Chase’s Darragh Ennis, who is from Dublin, making his argument. I was surprised though when the quizzer from the ITV show named a pub in Liverpool which was doing it right. I wasn’t sure if Darragh’s high praise had spread to the regulars, but when we walked in we heard conversations talking about what The Chaser had said straight away. I went for an incognito approach at first as I was keen to try and get a pint like anyone else without putting too much pressure on the bar staff.
It was £7 for two pints, which is a great price these days and it was pulled in the expected way. But when I saw the pints, I was a little concerned. Me and my friend were certain that the size of the head was a bit too small compared to other Guinness's we’ve had.
