Yuki Tsunoda believes pressured AlphaTauri teammate Nyck de Vries “will get there” as rumours fly around of the Dutchman’s Formula 1 future.The Dutchman earned his Formula 1 seat through an impressive display at Monza for Williams. The Dutchman managed to secure a ninth place finish.However, De Vries has had a difficult time so far in his rookie Formula 1 season. He has lacked pace to Tsunoda and has failed to score any points this season, alongside Williams driver Logan Sargeant.
Despite a difficult start for the Dutchman Tsunoda still believes De Vries will be able to turn things around. The Japanese driver said, when asked by“I think Nyck just has to put it all together. I think the pace is there, so he just needs to find a good rhythm because so far in most of the races probably he struggled a lot in terms of consistency.
The Japanese driver was asked whether their two rookie seasons could be compared. However, the 23-year-old didn’t believe so.
